Initially when opening these composer webpages in 1997, their purpose was to list all those composers referred to on the recorder music, recorder music CDs and recorder artist pages. In January 2012, they have been extended to include brass and bagpipe works.
The tables and anecdotes are more or less complete and much additional information is given of associated musical scores, books, CDs and relevant websites. In general these composers are composers of recorder music or composers whose works have been arranged for recorder, brass and bagpipe music.
Some statistics, as of 17.01.17 there are 4897 composers listed as well as 991 books, 829 CDs, 10820 items of sheet music and 408 links to websites associated with them.
