Charles A. Tyler
Last updated: 01.02.24
Although proclaimed by his publisher, J.W. Jenkins, Kansas City, Missouri, as the "The King of Ragtime Composers", nothing can be discovered about Charles A. Tyler who was presumably an American composer with some connection to the said Kansas City. The only mention he gets in the general ragtime reference works is merely the bald statement that he is the composer of A Cotton Patch (1902). For data housekeeping purposes he is listed in these webpages as a one-off composer.
