Pietro Deiro (1888-1954)

According to the Internet source given below, Pietro Deiro (the younger brother of Guido Deiro) was an American accordionist in Salto Canavese, Italy.
He emigrated to the United States in 1907 and began playing Diatonic button accordion professionally in a tavern in Seattle in 1908. His brother taught him to play the piano accordion both becoming minor celebrities on the vaudeville circuit.
Pietro recorded for the Victor Talking Machine Company. During the Great Depression, he opened an accordion studio in Greenwich Village, New York City and established an accordion music publishing company: Accordion Music Publishing Company (AMPCO), later simply known as Pietro Deiro Publications.
