Andr. Hammerschmidt (1611-1675)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Andreas Hammerschmidt was amonst the most important Bohemian composers during the seventeenth century. He was a great organist and a Bohemian representative of the new style of composition which originated in Italy.
