Juan del Encina  (1468-1529)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Juan del Encina was a Spanish composer, and also (from 1519) priest - chiefly famous to his countrymen as poet and dramatist. Wrote eclogues (pastoral plays) with songs composed by himself.
