According to Nora Hulse in her 60 Years of Ragtime Piano, Emma Y. Suckert was an American composer of two known compositions and born in Mt. Clemens, Missouri. After her second marriage in 1904 to Allister Cochrane she moved to Washington D.C. where she lived until her retirement.
