South Australia with it's fine rolling chorus is in my Australian top ten list. I've taken some liberties with the version found in The Bushwackers Australian Song Book in that I sing it at a rare old pace from the start and then step on the tempo starting with the last two verses. As a coda I repeat the chorus for as many times as the audience will stand for with ever increasing speed and loudness. This brings a lot of laughter because everyone, including myself, is in the dark as to when the song finally finishes. This song may be found in the Tyneside Maritime Chorus songbook but not yet in my personal repertoire
