Nora

I first came across "Nora" in Soodlum's 100 Irish Ballads Volume 1 which says that the lyrics were written by a Canadian, G.W. Johnston, and that the air is by J.A. Butterfield. In my version, I use "Hannah" as the title and in Internet, I have also found this song with "Maggie" as its title. I suppose any name having two syllables will do. It's a sad little song of unfulfilled love.
