Machet die Tore weit
Last updated: 22.04.24
Machet die Tore weit is a motet for Advent written by Andreas Hammerschmidt set to verses from Psalm 24 in German for SSATBB voices concluded by an extended "Osianna". This work is not to confused with Machet die Tore weit by Georg Philipp Telemann.
I had the pleasure of singing the 1st bass as a member of Collegium Musicum Bremen during the Advent seasons at the end of the 1990's.
It may be found in Chor Aktuell 1 published by Gustav Bosse Verlag.
