I transcribed this song from a radio broadcast, Wally Whyton's Folk Music, which I taped in1983. It's a very Irish song, tripping along in 6/8 time with a never-ending 12 verses of tongue-twisting, humorous and light-hearted lyrics on the goings-on and ructions at Lannigan's Ball in Dublin.
