Kimmage
Last updated: 11.10.23
I learned "Kimmage" from either Wilfried Drygala or Bernd Gerken or both whilst in the Idle Fellows. It was one of our favourites as we all had a chance in the choruses whilst Wilfried sang the verses. It deals with working-class shenanigans and the problems of a young woman in love with a good-for-nothing, getting married and finding housing.
"Kimmage" can be found in 100 Irish Ballads Volume 1.
