Comin' through the rye
Last updated: 22.04.22
"Comin' through the rye" is song from my childhood never learned it until only recently (lack of confidence from this sassenach in a strong English-Scottish accent) learned it from Andrew Gant's Folk Songs of the British Isles. The text is, of course unmistakably Robert Burns in the The Scots Musical Museum (1782-1803) and the tune traditional Scottish.
Actually, this song should not be in this list as to date (18.12.2000) I still have to perform it in public. When I do, I'll try to ensure that no one north of the border is within hearing distance.
