Audite silete
Last updated: 02.02.24
I came to Audite silete, this dance-like song in praise of music in Latin by Michael Praetorius, when auditioning to join a small mixed Bremen group [Christian, Henner, Maja, Marlene] after my time in the Collegium Musicum Bremen. It was amongst 15 other SATB quartet pieces.
Not demanding for the singers, It is a nice gentle piece ideal for opening a programme.
It may be found in 4 Voices published by Edition Helbling.
