The Sussex Carol is another jolly festive season number which was always included in the Tyneside Maritime Chorus under Benny Graham programme when Christmas time came around. A special joy for ma was not only did I get to sing it but was allowed to play my concertina in Benny's "band". The carol has many versions but the lyrics used were close to those of rior and The Carnival Band. This song may be found in the Tyneside Maritime Chorus songbook
