Tipping it up to Nancy
Last updated: 11.10.23
I happened upon "Tipping it up to Nancy" in Soodlum's 100 Irish Ballads Volume 2. The song is a very amusing story of a woman who ".... dearly loved her husband and another twice as well" getting her comeuppance from her cheated husband. The punch line, or rather verse, is very Irish, to whit:
There's nine in me family and none of them is me own,
I wish that each and every man would come and claim his own.
