"Eileen Aroon" is a terrific love song which I found in The Clancy Brothers's The Irish Songbook and fits my voice perfectly. (According to me that is, others may say something different!). It has a most beautiful melody and the lyrics are pure poetry. This version is a translation of a few verses from the long Gaelic original tragic love story. The singer pours out his heart praising the charms of his beloved, who lives deep in a valley and wonders what would happen if his love was no longer true.
