På Vossevangen
Last updated: 22.01.22
På Vossevangen is a poem written in Danish by Carsten Hauch (1790-1872) in 1861 and was later translated into Norwegian by Hulda Garborg (1862-1934). Vossevangen is the administrative centre of Voss in Vestland fylke.
The song itself extols the rustic lads and lassies and the bucolic beauties attaining to Vossevangen.
That this wonderful song has come into my lifetime repertoire is all down to Nina Kreft.
