John O' Dreams is a gentle 4-verse song written by Bill Caddick to an Italian folk tune which I learned as a member of the Tyneside Maritime Chorus between 2011 and 2013. The song itself is about the comfort given to all mankind when going asleep and the days worries, indeed life's turmoil, are over. This song may be found in the Tyneside Maritime Chorus songbook
