Heaven is a wonderful place is a splendid gospel that Maike Weyerts and Britta Steenken selected to be sung as a trio, namely Das Trio, 2 sopranos and bass, sometime in mid-2007. We duly sung it at Kerzenkunst Kanziora, a candle making workshop in Lilienthal, near Bremen, to open the festive season. I especially enjoyed singing the introduction and counter-melody set against the sopranos. Heaven is indeed a wonderful place and you do not have to die first to experience it. Just sing this gospel and you have heaven here on earth!
