It is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of recordings located. All that can presently (February 2024) be gleaned about Frederick J. Wheeler from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that he was presumably an American baritone vocalist who has been featured on some 300+ works issued/published between 1894 and 1922. Up until 1912 he used the pseudonym James F. Harrison on his recordings together with his duo partner John Young. Young at that time used the pseudonym Harry Anthony
Wheeler recorded on the Victor, Columbia, Brunswick, OKeh, Edison, Zonophone, Leeds & Catlin labels.
