The Humble Heart is a Shaker Hymn that I came across whilst I was a proud member of the Tyneside Maritime Chorus between 2011-2014. Although I never heard the chorus sing it as Benny Graham ha placed it on his TMC (Reserves) INDEX but I felt that if the song was good enough for him and the TMC, it would certainly do no harm for me to learn it too!
Well, in May 2015 I finally got down to the rewarding task of learning this wonderful song as well as learning the history of the shakers along the way. This song may be found in the Tyneside Maritime Chorus songbook
