Hello little girl
Last updated: 11.10.23
For me, Hello little girl catches perfectly the mood of the late adolescent or that of the young man in the throes of early manhood. Watching, waiting, hoping that this dolly-bird, the object of his desires, will notice him and somehow, all by herself, come up to him, without any effort on his own part it must be noted, and say that she is "his little girl". What a twerp! Laugh not dear surfer, most of us males have been through it.
The tune is simple, evocative, sentimental ... altogether pretty good stuff really. I first came across Hello little girl in Beatles Songs for the Recorder.
