Frank Seeley
Last updated: 09.06.25
p_seeleyf.jpgIt is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of sheet music items located. All that can presently (June 2025) be gleaned about Frank Seeley, who has been featured on 16 works published between 1890 and 1906, is given in an article at https://folksongandmusichall.com/index.php/amateur-whitewasher-the/ which is as follows:

Frank Seeley (b?-1913), performed for some time as part of a double act with Blossom Seeley as "Seeley and West". He performed regularly on the London stage between 1895 and 1913, often billed as an "eccentric comedian". His best remembered songs are Clap Hands, Daddy's Come Home (1901) and Let Go Eliza! (1902)

His portrait on the left is taken from Father's Got Em (1890) words & music by Harry Wincott, and published by B. Feldman & Co., New Oxford St., London W.C., England.

The loss of this valuable resource is very sad and a mystery.
