This Concerto has four movements comprising an Allegro, Adagio and Allegro is a delight for lovers of the baroque. It is totally "black" for the 1st and 2nd voices (only experienced and competent players need apply!). It was a great favourite with Quartettino, in which we played it without a bass/continuo to no great detriment (here I played the relatively easy 4th voice) and I have fond memories
Quartettino performing it in the Begegnungsstätte, Schwanewede, Germany in June 1985.
It was also played in
Blue Monday where I have equally happy memories of playing the 2nd voice to both Jutta Meyer (later
Jutta Köster) and
Bettina Kiefner but we never performed it in public.
