Quartettino came to life in meeting the many requests from Yorkshire amateur groups wishing to tour Bremen following the successful tour of
The Schwanewede Recorder Consort in June 1983 and
The Vegesack Double Quartet in October 1984. It was intended to tour England in 1986. The group was made of two students from Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Verena Hoefs and Katrin Stieler and two mature players from the previously named groups, A.N. Other and Geoff Grainger. The repertoire was to the greater part baroque with just a few numbers from
Consort With a Swing. The group disbanded in November 1985 due to the heavy commitments of the younger players.
