Jutta Köster

Jutta Köster was born on 26th October 1966 in Wildeshausen, Lower Saxony, Germany. At the tender age of seven, she began her music education at the District Music School, Oldenburg and started recorder playing there in 1975. In 1976 and 1978 she took part in the national German music competition Jugend musiziert and was awarded a 2nd place on both occasions as a member of a recorder trio and quartet respectively.
A player both of piano and accordion, since 1984 she has been a member of a number of church choirs and recorder consorts. Between 1992 and 1995, she played a significant rôle in Blue Monday, a North Bremen recorder consort. Her favourite colour is red and she confesses to being quite partial to peas.
She has recorded on Recorder Ceilidh 2000, BRTC.
