This Suite "La Presidente" by Nicholas Chédeville was amongst the first purchases that I made whilst still a young Petty Officer on H.M.S. Victorious in April 1965. It has 5 movements namely: Gracieusement, Gavotte I, Gavotte II, Minuet and Vaudeville. This work is just within reach of a hard-practising beginner. For my taste, it is best played with the treble. There is plenty of ornamentation to enjoy playing. I particularly enjoy the Vaudeville which is for my taste, especially jolly.
