Alf Chester
Last updated: 17.03.25
p_chestera.jpgIt is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of items located. All that can presently (February 2025) be gleaned about Alf Chester from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that he was presumably an English music hall entertainer who has been featured on 14 works published between 1889 and 1899.
His portrait on the left is taken from The Postman's Story (1890) words & music by Charles Osborne, published by R. Maynard, .
Surfers are welcome to contribute any further information about this performer.
