Length: approx. 3 mins..
Chicken Tango is a pleasing composition in ABACC form with a 4-bar introduction whereby the AB- and C-strains are written in the keys major C and F respectively. The contrasting melodies are shared in this adaptation for recorder quintet by the descant and 1st tenor voices. The 2nd tenor has the pleasure joining the 1st tenor for some classy close harmony in the C-strain. This piece will delight those recorder ensembles that enjoy alternation.
The cover of the original sheet music shows a happy and smiling pair of elegant dancers in a classic demure tango pose.
Chicken Tango was published by the Stark Music Co, St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
