Purchasing information Notice for leaders/bass players
Length: approx. 2¼ mins. Sounds best if the bass is doubled.
Temptation Rag was Lodge's greatest hit and has been recorded by many artists over the years. The charming temptress shown on the front cover of the original sheet music is a long tressed redhead with alluring eyes and bright scarlet mouth presiding over a watery domain. The rag itself is a fine effervescent piece with many nice touches. In this recorder adaptation the descant is cordially invited to help out the rhythm section with a bass or even tenor where appropriate. Alternatively a second bass could take over the bass notes.

A tempo of 108 crotchets/min. is given but taking it a little slower is also effective.
