Regimentskinder (Children of the Regiment) is a straightforward and lively march in AABBCCDD form with a 12-bar introduction and an 8-bar interlude between the BB- and CC-strains whereby the AB- and CD-strains are written in the major keys of C and F respectively. This march was written in 1905 and was dedicated to FML (Feldmarschalleutnant) Julius Forinyák who commanded the 86th Hungarian Infantry Regiment from 1894 to 1904. This adaptation for recorder sextet will especially appeal to those ensembles that relish in instrument alternation.
A tempo of 180 crotchets/min. is suggested.
