Kitten on the Keys, is a fantastic fun piece truly suggestive of a kitten dancing up and down a keyboard. This recorder adaptation is exceptionally demanding on recorder players. The treble and 1st tenor have to maintain a very precise close harmony throughout practically the whole work whilst the 2nd tenor and 1st bass have to do some nifty instrument changes to sopranino and descant respectively. Only the 2nd bass and great bass have a relatively easy but breath-taking time of it. This work reflects the transition from ragtime to jazz - a must for any progressive recorder ensemble!
