Satisfied is a pleasant, easy-going and well, ...... a satisfactory composition in AABBCCDD form. Also published as a song, this instrumental version however is provided with lyrics as well to be sung with the B-strain, bars 21-36, as follows:
I'm satisfied, I'm satisfied, I've got my baby by my side.
I'm satisfied, I'm satisfied.
I'm satisfied, I'm satisfied, she's my honey babe, she's my pride.
I'm satisfied, I'm satisfied.
The front cover of the original sheet music shows a very satisfied, nattily clad gentleman no doubt the singer of the above ditty. Bennett dedicated this piece to his friend, the composer Monroe H. Rosenfeld (1861-1918).
A tempo of 78 crotchets/min. is suggested.
