Length: approx. 2¾ mins.
Baby Blues being so bright and cheerful it is difficult to interpret this fox trot as a blues. It is characterised by long passages of dotted quavers (eighths) and sixteenths. It is written in AABBACC form with a 4-bar introduction whereby the AB- and C-strains are written in the keys of F and Bb respectively. Great fun indeed and has to be part of a programme of lady ragtimers!
Baby Blues was published by Syndicate Music Co., St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
A tempo of 150 crotchets/min. is suggested.
