Blanche M. Tice (1878-1933)

Overview

Blanche M. Tice was an American composer and publisher of popular music born in Eureka Springs, Arizona and studied at South Dakota State University. According to Nora Hulse in her 24 Piano Rags she wrote some 70 compositions. Of ragtime interest is her Jolly Widower (1910) and That Enticing Two Step (1913). Between 1908 and 1920, she ran her own publishing operation in Sioux City. She died in Scotland, South Dakota.
