According to the Internet source given below, Edward Browne Claypoole was an American composer born in Baltimore.
He worked principally as a clerk to the courts and composed generally when his legal duties permitted. He wrote a number of rags and novelty pieces of which his best know is probably Ragging the Scale (1915) Broadway Music Corp., New York, USA.
He died in Baltimore
