Calvin Carter  (1925-1986)

According to the Internet source given below, Calvin T. Carter was an American record producer, record label manager and songwriter of jazz and pop songs born in Gary, Indiana.
He joined Vee-Jay Records becoming its principal A&R man and producer, in charge of recording sessions. After Vee Jay closed he worked at Liberty Records and ran their subsidiary, Minit Records
His best-known song I Ain't Got You was recorded by a number of leading artists. His Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight was and still is very popular.
Carter died in Oak Forest, Illinois.
