Tascott from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that he was an American Vaudeville singer and comedy star billed as The World's Greatest Coon Shouter. He has been featured on 14 works published between 1901 and 1915. His portrait on the left is taken from I'm Going Right Back to Chicago (1906) music by Egbert A. van Alstyne, words by Harry Williams and published by Jerome H. Remick & Co., New York & Detroit, USA.
