He was featured on 5 works published between 1919 and 1928. Together with his brother Phil, the formed the vaudeville act The Kaufman Brothers. When Phil died in 1918, the act continued with Jack's younger brother Irving Kaufman.
He made numerous recordings between 1917 and 1928.
Kaufman died in Hempstead, Nassau County, New York.
