The front cover of the original sheet music proudly proclaims The Harriman Fox Tango as being in the Famous Dancers Collection of tangoes (sic(, maxixe, hesitations, one-steps and trots. The famous dancer here is Josephine Harriman who is also shown on the front cover posing dramatically. She appeared in a number of Broadway productions between 1908 and 1915. In 1915 Lee S. Roberts also honoured her composing The Harriman Cake Walk (DBE 1097). As to the tango itself, it is lively number having an AABBAA form with a 4-bar introduction whereby the A- and B-strains are written in the major keys of C and F respectively.
