Harry C. Thompson

Overview

The composer of a handful of rags with New York connections, virtually nothing is known about Harry C. Thompson other than those bare facts which can be gleaned from the covers of his published works. Trebor Jay Tichenor in his Recorded Ragtime, 1897-1958 quotes his Watermelon Trust (1906) as being excellent and a good example of serious ragtime composition.
