Ben Albert  (1876-1925)

p_albertb.jpgAll that can presently (March 2021) be gleaned about Ben Albert from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that he has 26 works published/recorded between 1902 and 1913.
Having had a fairly prolific recording career between 1902 and 1925 it is somewhat surprising that so little biographical information about him can be found.
Of interest is his Three Ages of Women (1908) recorded on Zono 40 which can be heard on the "Audio" tab above.
His illustration by Sidney Kent is taken from sheet music cover of I Don't Mind, If It Amuses You(1904 - music: Henry E. Pether; words: Fred W. Leigh) and published by Francis, Day & Hunter, London W.C.2, England.
