All that can presently (February 2025) be gleaned about Florence Venning [Florence Madeleine née Southgate] from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that she was an English contralto born in Tooting. A member of Dale's English Opera Singers, she made at least 41 recordings on the Columbia label between 1903 and 1908.
She died in Bath..
