It is surprising that so little is known about these performers considering the large number of compositions located. All that can presently (June 2022) be gleaned about Kelly &. Violette from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that they were presumably American sketch artists who have been featured on 15 works published between 1898 and 1910.Their portrait on the left is taken from In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree (1905) music by Egbert A. van Alstyne, words by Harry Williams and published by Jerome H. Remick & Co., New York & Detroit, USA.
