p_daintonm.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, Marie Dainton was an English actress of the Victorian and Edwardian eras who appeared regularly in both music halls and in dramatic theatre born in Russia.
Raised in a theatrical family (her mother was the English actress and singer Jenny Dawson), she debuted at York Theatre Royal in Little Red Riding Hood in 1894 giving imitations of well-known theatrical personalities. Her first London appearance was at the Metropolitan music hall in Edgware Road in 1894. She went on to tour widely though the British provinces and abroad. Dainton recorded for the Gramophone & Typewriter Co Ltd and Pathé. Amongst those she imitated were Harry Lauder, Anna Held, Marie Tempest, Marie Lloyd and Mrs Patrick Campbell.
She died in London
