As gleaned from the website listed below, Marion Verbruggen was born in Amsterdam and has earned an international reputation as a master of style in her solo recitals throughout North America, Japan and Europe. As a chamber musician, she has performed and recorded with many renowned early music artists and such prestigious ensembles as Musica Antiqua Köln, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Tafelmusik. Her master classes and workshops given world-wide are proof of her brilliant ability to communicate and inspire.
Marion Verbruggen is also an avid exponent of contemporary music, and received the 1973 Nicolai Prize for performance of contemporary Dutch music. She made her conducting debut with the Portland Baroque Orchestra.
