rprothert.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, Daniel Rothert was born in Cuxhaven with Ghanaian-German roots. He had his first recorder lessons at the age of 7 with Jutta Keller in Oldenburg. He has attended master classes with Gabriel Garrido, Walter van Hauwe, Hans-Martin Linde, Pedro Memelsdorff, Clas Pehrsson and Han Tol.
He studied recorder and baroque transverse flute at the Music High School Cologne under Günther Höller. Additionally he studied under Dan Laurin at Det FynskeMusikkonservatorium and the Carl Nielsen Academy of Music Odense in Denmark.
He has performed as soloist and chamber musician in various ensembles and founded the "Arcangelo Trio" together with Markus Möllenbeck and Gerald Hambitzer.
