According to the Internet source given below, Giorgio Matteoli is an Italian player of recorder and , cello, and is also a conductor. Born in Rome after graduating in cello and chamber music from the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory, he went on to study baroque cello and the recorder under the guidance of Maestro Paolo Capirci at the "Ottorino Respighi" Conservatoire in Latina where he graduated in 1994. Currently he studies composition at Conservatorio Guiseppe Verdi, Milan.
As a solo recorder player he has performed with many orchestras, including the Naples and Rome RAI Symphony Orchestras, The Roma and Lazio chamber Orchestra, the "G.Verdi" orchestra of Milan and the Ensemble Fête Rustique, which he founded and he conducts. Giorgio Matteoli teaches recorder at "L.D Annunzio" Conservatorio, Pescara, as well as Baroque cello and chamber music at the "Scuola Musicale di Milano" department of ancient music.
