According to the Internet source given below, Cecilia Kjelldén was born in Österlen in Skåne. She graduated as church musician in 1971 and three years later as recorder player at the teacher's programme at Malmö Academy of Music. She was appointed senior master at the academy and has since then been the principal recorder teacher for both performers and teachers. Together with some of her students she founded Flauto Dolce Recorder Quintet. Cecilia Kjelldén is also a soloist and plays with chamber ensembles such as Cappella Scaniensis.
