According to the website given below, Sabine Federspieler was born in Brixen/ South Tyrol. She received her first recorder lessons from her father accompanied by private tuition from Gerhard Braun, Stuttgart. She performed as soloist with the Haydn Orchestra Bolzano/Triest, 1987 and 1993 and the String Academy Bolzano and Bach-Academy conducted by Joshua Rifkin. A winner of numerous awards, she studied at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst, Vienna with Rudolf Hofstötter. Sabine Federspieler has also studied with Dan Laurin
She has recorded with Markus Zahnhausen on Klangreden: Neue Musik für Blockflöte Vol. 4.
